Welcome to your SuperScrape Plus
New Owner's Guide!
Unboxing & Setup
If you’ve just unboxed your SuperScrape Plus rubber mat, you might have a few questions about setting it up.
Our tip: Allow your mat to acclimate by warming up to room temperature or using the brief sunlight method. This ensures it lays flat and performs at its best from the get-go.

Why Placement Matters
Where you place your SuperScrape Plus can make all the difference. Position it in a high-traffic spot—like your main entrance or busy back door—so it can catch dirt and moisture before it travels further into your home.
By staying on a flat, even surface, the mat keeps your floors cleaner and helps prevent slips. Plus, the right placement creates a welcoming first impression—after all, your doorway sets the tone for everyone who steps inside. A thoughtful spot means a happier home, fewer messes, and a better all-around experience.
Enjoy!

New mat owner's questions
Great question! No, this is a very common occurrence due to the nature of rubber. Here are a few tips and tricks to ensure your SuperScrape Plus mat lays flat.
Sometimes all your mat needs to do is relax! Bring it indoors and allow it to warm up to room temperature. Place the mat down it will start to lay flat within 24 hours.
Another great question. It is normal for a new mat to have a slight odor to it (much like new tennis shoes). This is due to the "off-gassing" of rubber, and will typically go away in a day or two after being out of the box.
Honestly, yes, and it's a good thing. This means your SuperScrape Plus doormat is working! It's doing its job by trapping and containing all the wet, dirty, and gross things that would otherwise be tracked across your home.
We'd recommend doing this every few weeks.
A multi-mat system maximizes dirt capture and floor protection. For optimal arrangement:
- Outside placement (first stage): Position a heavy-duty rubber scraper mat with drainage ridges outside the door
- Threshold mat (second stage): Place a thinner rubber transition mat at the threshold if space allows
- Inside placement (third stage): Add a final rubber-backed mat 2-3 feet inside the entrance
Ensure each mat is properly sized for its location - typically, the outside mat should be the largest (covering the full door width plus 4-6 inches), while inside mats can be more decorative but still functional.
For the rubber components specifically, position them where their water-resistant properties are most valuable - typically as the first line of defense outside and at the threshold where moisture transfer occurs.
