DUST, DIRT, LEAVES & SAND
Easy Daily Care
The tried and true method is to take your mat outside and simply shake vigorously until the bulk of the debris is gone. You can also sweep it.

THE GENTLE TOUCH
Hand Washing
- Hose it down - Grab your hose and give your SuperScrape Plus a good, thorough spray-down with a splash of mild detergent to get the rubber refreshed and ready to rock.
- The Gentle Clean - Scrub with a deck brush (as needed) using a detergent with a neutral pH and rinse with a hose.
Drying Out
When your mat is clean, lay it flat or hang it in a shady, breezy spot - You can also leave it outside in the sun because these doormats don’t fade!
Always ensure both the mat and your floor are dry before placing the mat. Remove moisture that may become trapped under your mat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Rubber doormats offer superior durability and weather resistance compared to natural fiber options like coir or cotton.
They’re particularly advantageous in high-moisture environments as they won’t absorb water, preventing mold and mildew. Rubber mats also provide excellent traction, are heavier (staying in place better), and typically last 2-3 times longer than fiber alternatives.
While the initial investment may be higher than coir options, their longevity makes them more economical over time. Many rubber doormats are also made from recycled materials, making them an environmentally conscious choice
For optimal performance, choose a doormat that extends at least 80% of your doorway width and provides at least 18-24 inches of depth for adequate foot wiping.
SuperScrape Plus is available in 75 x 85 cm.
Yes, rubber doormats are excellent for outdoor use due to their weather-resistant properties. They withstand rain, snow, UV exposure, and temperature fluctuations without deteriorating. Unlike natural fiber mats, rubber won’t rot when constantly exposed to moisture. They’re particularly well-suited for covered porches, patios, and entryways that receive direct weather exposure. For uncovered areas that receive direct sunlight, look for UV-stabilized rubber mats to prevent cracking and fading.
Rubber doormats require minimal maintenance but benefit from regular care:
Regular Maintenance (Weekly)
- Shake or vacuum to remove loose debris
- Sweep with a stiff brush to dislodge stuck-on dirt
- Hose down outdoors or wipe with a damp cloth for indoor mats
Deep Cleaning (Monthly or as needed)
- Mix mild dish soap with warm water
- Scrub with a soft brush
- Rinse thoroughly
- Allow to air dry completely before replacing
While SuperScrape Plus (rubber doormats) generally stay in place better than lightweight alternatives, there are several effective methods to prevent slipping on smooth surfaces:
- Double-sided tape strips: Apply to the underside corners and center
- Rubber-backed varieties: Choose mats with textured rubber backing designed for grip - SuperScrape
- Rug gripper pads: Cut to size and place underneath
- Silicone caulk method: Apply small dots of clear silicone caulk to the underside (removable)
- Velcro strips: Attach to floor and mat bottom (good for temporary installations)
- Mat frames: Use recessed frames that hold the mat in position
For outdoor use on concrete, ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying any adhesive solutions. On wooden decks or smooth tile, rug gripper pads typically provide the best combination of stability and floor protection
