By the way_
For the best results, we recommend washing your mat as soon as it’s unboxed. This initial wash makes those plush fibers really pop, ensuring your ColorStar looks even more vibrant.

Easy Daily Care
The tried and true method is to take your mat outside and simply shake vigorously until the bulk of the debris is gone. You can also sweep or use your household vacuum as it will not hurt your Colorstar mat.
Machine Washing
- Give your ColorStar a quick shake to remove loose dust and debris.
- Place your ColorStar mat in your washing machine.
- If needed, dab a bit of mild detergent directly onto any stubborn spots.
- Ensure your machine’s drum has ample space. A drum capacity of 7kg or more is ideal for all sizes, here’s a little graphic to make it easier:

Quick Tip - If your machine’s drum is on the snug side, consider giving your ColorStar a gentle hand wash to keep those plush fibers looking fresh. Just use a brush and mild detergent. Don't use bleach or other harsh chemicals to clean. For Heavy Soiled Mats, increase temperature up to max. 60°C.

Drying
When the cycle’s done, rescue your Colorstar immediately to prevent any lingering damp drama. Lay it flat or hang it in a shady, breezy spot.
If needed, you can dry your mat 5-10 min with a maximum basket temperature of 82°. Cool dow 5min. Please, do not overdry your ColorStar mat.
Always ensure both the mat and your floor are dry before placing the mat. Remove moisture that may become trapped under your mat.
By following these easy steps, your ColorStar mat will stay as vibrant and welcoming as the day you unboxed it. Enjoy the blend of style and functionality that only Matterly can deliver, and happy cleaning!

Regardless of your floor type, it's good practice to pick up your floor mat every few weeks in order to clean not just your mat, but also the flooring underneath your mat.
Always make sure your mat and floors are completely dry before placing your ColorStar mat on your floors.
Things like red clay and wine can be problematic and will stain most fabrics and textiles, but have no fear! Follow the same steps as above, but after an initial rinse, apply an adequate amount of your favorite spot remover (no bleach though!) or mild detergent. Take a soft bristled brush or rag to rub the solution in, and wait about 10-15 minutes and thoroughly rinse again. Allow to air dry before replacing.
For Heavy Soiled Mats, increase temperature up to max. 60°C.
Steer clear from using bleach. Harsh chemicals like bleach can adversely affect the materials found in your ColorStar mat.
It probably goes without saying, but we're going to anyway. It is also important to keep your ColorStar mat clear from any petroleum based products as they will negatively affect the rubber backing.
